Andluca Showcases Innovio™ Glass in Optimedia’s Lucentra™ Product Line at the 2026 International Builders’ Show

Andluca recently participated in the Optimedia booth at the 2026 International Builders’ Show (IBS), where Optimedia featured Lucentra™ powered by Innovio™ Glass. The display highlighted how Andluca’s Innovio™ technology can be integrated into advanced glazing systems to support new smart window capabilities while preserving the visual clarity architects and designers expect.

Innovio™ Glass converts ultraviolet light into electrical power with less than 1% visual impact, allowing architects and designers to maintain aesthetic transparency while integrating advanced functionality directly into the glass.

The technology also provides high UV absorption, helping protect interior finishes such as carpets, furnishings, and artwork from fading.

As demonstrated through Optimedia’s Lucentra™ product line, Innovio™ Glass can support wireless smart window functionality through integrated energy storage, reducing the need for visible wiring or additional power infrastructure.

Additional performance benefits highlighted in the display include:

• Improved impact resistance
• Enhanced sound damping
• Certified bird-friendly by the American Bird Conservancy (ABC) to reduce bird collisions.
• Architects have flexibility in glass configuration, including low-E type, supplier, and placement, all while maintaining bird-friendly performance. Configurations achieve threat factor ratings below 25, with optimized systems reaching as low as 18 for enhanced protection.
• Modular functionality that can incorporate privacy, security, and lighting features depending on project needs

By collaborating with Optimedia and featuring Innovio™ Glass within the Lucentra™ product line at IBS, Andluca demonstrated how advanced glass technologies can combine energy generation, building performance, and architectural flexibility in a single glazing solution.
